My main research topics are:

  • Wonderful compactifications, spherical and toric varieties.
  • Cox rings, Mori dream spaces, Fano and log Fano varieties.
  • Rational points on varieties over non closed fields.
  • Computational algebra, tensor decomposition algorithms.
  • Rational, unirational and rationally connected varieties.
  • Moduli spaces and moduli stacks of curves and stable maps.
  • Conic bundles and Calabi-Yau structures on projective 3-folds. 
  • Secant varieties, defectiveness, identifiability.
